Songkrate ("we", "us", "our") is a music curation and playback management tool. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
Profile Data: You create profiles within your account (name and avatar emoji). These are stored to provide the service.
Music Preferences: We store your music curation choices (which albums, artists, and tracks you've added to each profile). This is the core functionality of the service.
Service Connections: When you connect a music service (Apple Music), we store authentication tokens to access the service on your behalf. We do not store your music service password.
Usage Data: We collect basic server logs (IP address, request timestamps) for operational and security purposes.
Your data is stored on secure servers. Passwords and PINs are hashed using bcrypt. API tokens are cryptographically signed. All connections use HTTPS encryption.
We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at hello@songkrate.app.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at hello@songkrate.app for any privacy-related requests.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice in the app.
